This project began with a simple question: how is climate change actually framed in Indonesian news, beyond headline impressions?
As part of a collaborative research effort during my master’s degree, I led the media-analysis side and built an interactive dashboard to make those patterns visible. I combined BERTopic-based topic modeling with text-network analysis so users could move from broad themes to the relationships between key concepts inside each theme.
The dashboard offers two layers of insight. Topic modeling reveals what outlets discuss most often, while the network view shows how words cluster, which ideas are central, and what narratives receive the strongest emphasis.
By turning a large article collection into a structured, explorable map of discourse, the project makes climate coverage easier to inspect, compare, and communicate.
